Динаміка природного поновлення в ендемічному та охоронюваному лісі португальського дуба на заході Алжиру

Анотація

Незважаючи на екологічне та лісівниче значення португальського дуба (Quercus faginea Lam.) у Північній Африці, динаміка його популяцій в умовах зростаючого антропогенного тиску залишається недостатньо вивченою, що обмежує можливості науково обґрунтованого планування природоохоронних заходів. Метою цього дослідження була оцінка сучасного стану екосистеми португальського дуба та вивчення впливу близькості до людських поселень і діаметральної структури деревостану на природне поновлення, а також характеристика фізико-хімічних властивостей ґрунтів на досліджуваних ділянках. У дослідженні застосовано стратифіковану випадкову вибірку на основі 100 кругових пробних ділянок площею 400 м², розподілених за заздалегідь визначеними класами відстані. Результати показали, що відстань до найближчих населених пунктів суттєво впливає на густоту деревостану у всіх діаметральних класах. Коефіцієнти детермінації коливалися від 0,75 до 0,91, що свідчить про те, що відстань до людських поселень пояснює значну частку варіації густоти дерев різних діаметральних класів. Густота деревостану зростала зі збільшенням відстані від населених пунктів, при цьому переважали сіянці та зрілі насіннєносні дерева, тоді як проміжні діаметральні класи були представлені слабко. Було також встановлено зв’язок природного поновлення (через сіянці) з діаметральною структурою: густота сіянців зростала зі збільшенням густоти дерев інших діаметральних класів, при значеннях R² від 0,54 до 0,68. Показник pH ґрунту коливався від 5,0 до 6,3 і, як правило, знижувався з глибиною. Поверхневі горизонти містили вищі рівні органічної речовини, вуглецю та азоту, тоді як накопичення глини у глибших горизонтах було особливо помітним на ділянках Джефаль та Айн-ель-Хаджер. Отримані результати підкреслюють вразливість екосистеми португальського дуба до антропогенного тиску та вказують на необхідність відповідних заходів з охорони та відновлення, зокрема захисту природного поновлення та зниження тиску випасу худоби поблизу населених пунктів. Це дослідження може слугувати базовим орієнтиром для моніторингу динаміки та змін рослинності, а також для планування охорони та відновлення насаджень португальського дуба
