The article presents the results of analytical research on the exploring the subject of the place and role of the objects of cultural heritage in the compositional structure of the park environment and the relation of their ideological context with the theme of the parks. Depending on the peculiarities of the formation of the object of cultural heritage and its significance in the modern compositional and informational structure of the park territory within which it is located, the division of objects of cultural heritage into three categories is made. The first group consists of objects of cultural heritage, the creation of which preceded the laying of the park or occurred simultaneously and determined the features of its formation (functions, themes, composition structure). The second group consists of objects that appeared after the formation of the park, taking into account its functional purpose, theme and composition structure. The third category unites objects that were included in the park territory without regard to its functional purpose, not related to its themes, or contradict it ideologically, and do not fit into the composition structure. According to the proposed distribution, objects of cultural heritage located within the parks of Kyiv were analyzed and found that the objects of cultural heritage of the first category are the most valuable in the context of the compositional and ideological significance at the present stage.
