Abstract

Relevance of preservation of century wood plants in the world and Ukraine is outlined. It is carried out the comparative analysis of structure of century trees of a pine ordinary (Pinus sylvestris L.) which grow on natural and reserved fund of the Forest-steppe and the Steppe of Ukraine. Results of the analysis showed prevalence on categories of age of reserved trees of plants in the Forest-steppe of Ukraine.Majority of them are protected as natural monuments.The greatest number of reserved century pines in the Cherkasska area.
